Welcome to the Deluxe Daddy vaporizer review! The Deluxe Daddy is a box-style stationary vaporizer by manufacturer Vapor Daddy. This unit has been on the market for years now and definitely has some brand recognition going on.

When you open up the box, you’ll find the Deluxe Daddy itself (which has a removable heating element), wand with in-built screen, oil diffuser attachment, and a 3 year warranty.

We took one aside and spent some time with it so we could give you a comprehensive review of this unit.

Deluxe Daddy Vaporizer Review: Breakdown

Quality

Build Quality

The build quality of the Deluxe Daddy is average. They used wood paneling on the side which is nice, but the seam between the panels is visible and sticks out. The heating bowl they designed sits very close to the heating element, about an inch away. This is a pretty big design flaw as it causes the chamber to spike up to very high temperatures.

Vapor Quality

This leads us to the question of vapor quality. At level 7 or so, you can get a robust vapor from this unit. The vapor can tend to be a little bit warm and irritating, but it is certainly thick and satisfying. At level 9 though, you will end up burning your botanical, so avoid using that temperature setting. It’s a pretty big blunder on the part of the manufacturer to design a vaporizer that reaches such high temperatures, and it’s definitely not an enjoyable experience for the user. There’s just something about smoke coming from a vaporizer that just tastes awful, not to mention the health concerns!

Design

look-and-feel

Look and Feel

The Deluxe Daddy looks like a classic box vaporizer, and feels pretty sturdy on a table. We noticed the logo on the side of the unit was glued on and was peeling off when we were using it. There were a few manufacturing defects (scratches and bumps) in the interior walls of the Daddy. That might not be a big deal to most people, but it’s worth mentioning and is an indication of the overall quality of the unit.

Difficulty

Ease of Use

One of the best things about the Deluxe Daddy is its ease of use. You load your botanical into the heating bowl and insert it into the vaporizer. Flip the switch on and the unit will reach your desired temperature in minutes. There is no automatic shutoff for this vaporizer, and it can run quite hot, so make sure to remember to turn it off at the end of a session.

Options

Options

Like other box-style vaporizers, a whip trails from the unit that you take your draws on. There are a few optional accessories for the Deluxe Daddy available through the manufacturer including a potpourri dish and a bong adapter. It would be nice for the manufacturer to have included one of these optional accessories with the Daddy, but at least they are available if you wanted to buy one.

Reach

Reach

As we just mentioned, the unit is used with a whip-style  system. As a result, you’re chained to the unit and can only use it one person at a time. As a result, this unit can only vaporize for three or four people max, and not simultaneously.

Compatible with ZEUS Iceborn
This vaporizer is compatible with the ZEUS Iceborn, a revolutionary new vapor cooling system engineered by Canadian vape manufacturer ZEUSArsenal. The Iceborn is designed to produce cooler draws and bigger clouds when connected to your vaporizer. The vapour produced is ultra smooth and crisp and because of ice cooling, instead of water filtration, there is no loss of efficiency. The ZEUS Iceborn adds an additional 2 points to the vapor quality score of this vaporizer and is a highly recommended vaporizer accessory.

The Deluxe Daddy isn’t the most affordable vaporizer around and doesn’t perform well enough to justify its price tag. In its youth, it might have been one of the better stationary units on the scene, but there are many other contenders on the market now that could pack more of a punch for less money. The fact that we’ve actually managed to burn botanical in this vaporizer left a bit of a sour taste in our mouth too. If you’re looking for a whip style vaporizer that offers much better value, we highly recommend checking out the Arizer V Tower. It uses high quality glass components and it’s Canadian Manufacturing really triumphs over the cheap materials used in the Deluxe Daddy. You would never have to worry about burning your botanicals with the V Tower either as it’s heating chamber is designed for efficient convection vaporization and it consistently produces flavourful, pure and great quality vapor with every draw
