The CoolFire line has been around for quite some time, and this latest addition is a sign that Innokin continues to pay attention to what users want. You asked for 100W vapes, and you’re getting them! As you can probably tell from the name, this thing is jam-packed with features. You can get the mod by itself, or a kit that includes a tank with 4 different coils. We’ll go over all of it in today’s review. Also if this is your first time checking out a vape, be sure to read our Vape Buyers Guide for tons of useful info and tips. Product Pros Up to 100w Extremely easy to use Temperature control for nickel, titanium and stainless steel Slick, ergonomic design Easy to use 3300mAh battery Product Cons Internal, non-removable battery CoolFire IV 100W Full Kit Review: Breakdown Quality Build Quality The build quality on this vape is fantastic. There are just so many things to love about it, including the actual design. Most box mods don’t do a good job differentiating themselves on this front, but the Cool Fire IV is sleek and ergonomic. You might not think that a slight curve makes a difference, but it does. The parts and edges are smooth to touch. The tank sits flush on top. The display is big and easy to read. You can even flip the direction your display faces based on how you hold your vape. The fire button placement is even worth noting, as it sits in the absolute perfect spot when you’re gripping the device. The tank that is included with the kit is the 22mm iSub V Vortex TC. It’s filled from the top, with a spring-loaded system to ensure your coil doesn’t get flooded when you do so. The airflow is easily adjustable, and more importantly, there are 4 different coils that come with it. One kanthal, one nickel, one titanium, and one stainless steel. The big difference between this and previous versions of the Cool Fire IV is the 100W upper limit. High wattage vaping is becoming increasingly popular, and this redesign will surely sit well with fans. This new design does have a different battery. I assume this has something to do with making sure everything stays safe at the higher wattages, but the battery is now internal instead of a removable 18650. At 3300mAh, it’s plenty big, but this may be a slight inconvenience for some. Vapor Quality The Cool Fire IV TC 100 can deliver truly exceptional vapor, and this has everything to do with good design and versatility. With four different coils, wattage variability, and temperature control, you can pretty much customize your settings to make sure you are getting the exact vapor that you want. I don’t care if you are chasing clouds or exceptional flavor, this will get the job done. And because I know this probably matters to a lot of you who are looking at this for the 100W abilities, the clouds are seriously insane. Absolutely huge. This will handle just about any tank without the combo seeming underpowered. Design Versatility This is a very versatile vape, but the more striking thing to me is how easy they’ve made it despite its versatility. A lot of the high feature vapes that I’ve tried are just a bit overwhelming, especially when you first start using them. Innokin did a very good job taking the work out of using this. For one, the coils are all color coded, from the packaging to the instructions to the o-rings on the actual coils. Materials like nickel and titanium have to be used in TC mode, not wattage. You can easily ruin them if you screw this up, so this is more important than you may realize. The display will even make you review your settings anytime you take your tank off and put a new one one. This is a great way to make sure mistakes aren’t made. Wattage mode features a range from 6W to 100W. TC modes are available for nickel, titanium, and stainless steel, with a range from 300°F to 600°F. The TC modes even feature an optional wattage booster to make it heat up faster. As a final, small bonus in favor of the overall versatility, the stainless steel coils can be used in either TC or wattage mode. Portability This offers one of the best blends of performance and portability that I’ve seen in a box mod. The size is nice and small, but it’s still packed full of features with a nice-sized battery. The battery should be plenty big enough to last you through 1-2 days of vaping, or longer if you are a light user. The only way to make it more portable would have been to power it with removable 18650s. This would have allowed users to keep extras on hand to use when one ran out of juice. Conclusion This is an awesome, awesome vape. Innokin did a fantastic job of blending features, safety, and performance all in one unit. I have no trouble recommending this to anyone who is looking for a new mod, whether you are a complete beginner or already puff on a vape all day long. The tank and coils perform admirably, so I’d say the kit is a great deal even if you already have your own. With that being said, the mod will handle just about any tank so you can use this with your existing favorites too. If you are looking for a high-powered vape that delivers exceptional vapor in an easy-to-use package, then I think this is a great choice.
