Looking at the Innokin RipTide, it is just like any other tube type mods that were very popular before. It has no LED screen display and up and down buttons, only a single hexagram shaped fire button on the upper side of the body which also turns the device on or off by pressing it 3 times.

Instead of a LED screen display, Innokin went the simpler way of putting 3 battery LED indicators on the top of the fire button. 3 lights mean it is fully charged and will go down to 1 light when it is time to charge the mod.

There is a micro USB port on the bottom of the device to charge the battery which has a capacity of 3000 mah and is not removable. Adding to its ergonomic design, the finish of the mod is rubberized which is soft to the touch, and makes the RipTide easy and feels good to grip.

There are 6 color options available for the RipTide but sadly, the colors only apply to the fire button and the o rings on the Crios tank but the body remains black. The colors available are black, green, purple, red, yellow and blue.

The Crios tank is one of the best sub ohm tank Innokin has made. It got a lot of good reviews from people who bought it ever since Innokin released the Crios and I agree with them. The Crios tank is simple but one of the better performing tanks on the market right now.

It features an easy top fill design and has triple adjustable airflow. It comes with 2 different capacity of glass tanks which is nice so you can choose if you want a 2 ml capacity tank or a 4 ml capacity tank.

The Innokin RipTide has a max firing output of 65 watts and can use coils from 0.2 ohms to 3.5 ohms. The RipTide features a constant fixed wattage output, which is a big deal for mechanical mod lovers.

A constant fixed wattage output means that whatever resistance your coils have, the RipTide will fire the appropriate wattage for that resistance and will stay on that wattage no matter how much battery capacity is left.

Unlike most mechanical mods that will slowly reduce the wattage or voltage when the battery drains, the RipTide will give you a consistent vape all the way through until you need to charge.

The Crios tank comes with a 0.25 ohm coil head that is rated to use between 30 watts to 50 watts. It is a perfect coil for the RipTide since the RipTide can fire up to 65 watts. The coil head, paired with the Crios’ triple adjustable airflow is perfect for those who want a direct to lung hit or an airy drag. If you want those dense and massive clouds, then the RipTide Crios is for you.

Versatility

Versatility

One of the good things about the RipTide mod is its dimension. It is a 24 mm diameter mod, so any 24 mm atomizer and below will sit flush on its spring-loaded 510 connection. The 3000 mah battery is not removable but, as long as you have an access to a USB port, you can charge the RipTide almost anywhere.

The Crios tank comes with a 2 ml glass tank and a 4 ml glass tank. The 2 ml glass tank is perfect for those who want to change their e-liquid flavor from time to time, and the 4 ml glass tank is perfect for those who are outside and don’t want to fill up their tank every now and then.

Even though the Crios tank is marketed as a sub ohm tank, vapers who want a restrictive, mouth to lung drag can always adjust the triple adjustable airflow control to the minimum to get that satisfying restrictive lung hit they are looking for.

Portability

Portability

The RipTide Crios is very tall compared to most mods on the market right now but due to its form and design as a tube type mod, it is very pocket-friendly and it is easily one of the best “grab and go” vaporizers right now.

One of the pros of a tube type mod is its ergonomics, and vapers will never have a problem carrying it around or storing it in a bag.

Conclusion

The RipTide Crios starter kit is perfect for new vapers who want a simple and affordable vaporizer but performs very well. The constant fixed wattage output makes sure that every drag you take will give you a consistent vape and will never reduce in quality until the battery is very low.

The RipTide Crios is also perfect for old time vapers who want the tube type’s simplistic look and ergonomics. It is perfect as a grab and go device and can satisfy your vaping needs anywhere you go.
