OG Four 2.0 RIG: Breakdown

Quality

Build Quality

Build Quality

The OG Four Vape Pen Kit is a complete setup for a new dab user. Equipped with a hyper charging cable, cleaning wipes, a silicon tray, stash compartment and built in concentrate container. The OG Four 2.0 Rig is a premium kit at an affordable price.

It is a average build and pretty reliable dab vape pen setup that brings a lot of innovative features and a sleek design that catches the eye. Due to the strong outer housing the device does have a high build quality in terms of resistance to being damaged. The ‘quartz lava’ on the other hand is something we know little about. This may just be a marketing stunt and a slight alteration of basic quartz coils.

At the time of me checking what the warranty is on the OG Four 2.0 Rig it was only a 90 day warranty. This short term warranty is one of the shortest that I have seen in the industry. I would think that a company that is truly confident in the build quality of their device would offer at least a 1 year warranty. 3 months is definitely on the short side. Perhaps is has something to do with the glass component- but still there could be special terms that apply to the battery and other defects that may occur.

Vapor Quality

It all sounds great on paper – the adjustable airflow and first of its kind lave quartz coils that delivers dab hits that are close to that of desktop nails.

The calibrated coil produces pure flavors even when you vape concentrates on a low temperature.

Some wax pens fall short on the lower temperatures and can only provide good vapor on the higher heat settings.

Maybe it has something to do with the deep dish design with the lava quartz coil or the large polycarbonate heating chamber.

Whatever it is that they have done it seems to work well.

Design

look-and-feel

Look and Feel

I love the look of this device. The OG Four 2.0 definitely stands out to me. From the colored vapor path to the glowing hashtag button, this thing is truly unique. As you are taking your hit you can see the vapor filling the vapor path. The top mouthpiece is comfortable on the lips and the bottom has a built in silicon jar to hold your concentrates.

At first glance when I saw the OG Four 2.0 in pictures before I used it myself I thought that it was going to be a bigger vape pen. After seeing it in person and having some hands on time with it I can say that it is smaller than I originally thought. This is not a bad thing and I think the weight and feel is nice.

Discreetness

Discreetness

The OG Four 2.0 Rig is not exactly discreet in terms of its usage. #ThisThingRips would not be much of a slogan if that was the case. In terms of its size you could say that this unit is discreet though.

It can fit into your shorts or jeans pockets or a carrying bag easily. The build of the device with the glass component does make it a bit harder to be versatile with your movements though.

I’m just going to chalk this one up as a not discreet vaporizer.

Difficulty

Ease of Use

The OG Four 2.0 is pretty simple to use. The whole unit can be dismantled with a few twists and the assembly is equally user-friendly. Take the orange glass off, place your wax on top of the coils, replace the glass component, unlock, press the power button, and inhale. It has 3 default heat settings: Blue is low, Green is medium, and Red is high. Press the hashtag button 3 times to change the setting, and 5 to turn it on and off.

The built in silicon wax container is easy to use, you simply screw on and off, and atomizers are screwed into place and replaced very easily. Vaporizer with a one button design are as easy as they come. After a session with this pen you will be comfortable using it

Portability

Portability

The 1100mah battery with a built-in container for concentrates makes for a good argument that this is a truly portable setup.

The device however is a bit on the large side for a pocket vape, sitting at 22mm wide and almost 6 inches tall.

The design includes a fairly delicate glass container which make it hard to carry in your pocket with confidence.

Conclusion

Overall the OG Four 2.0 is a great looking device, honestly one of my favorites at first glance. That is my personal opinion and i’m sure many of you may disagree. The overall performance is pretty good in terms of vapor production but at times it can get a bit harsh.

The lower temperatures do work well which is nice and something a bit rare with wax pens. The built in container is definitely a selling point as it reduces the need to carry extra things around.

It would have been nice to see this device be built with a built in dab tool as well – similar to that of the Puffco Plus vaporizer or maybe a ceramic dish like the Thunder 2. All and all this is a fun vaporizer to use and if you have money to throw around it can be a solid little edition to your collection.
