Not a year has passed when Smok released a futuristic looking mod with flashy customizable led lights they called the T Priv. Now they just released an updated version of that mod called the T Priv 3. Wondering why they skipped a number? It’s because the T Priv 3 is powered by three 18650 batteries instead of just two while maintaining the same design profile. Build Quality

If you know Smok and their products then you know that they always make their devices with premium quality materials and it’s no different with the T Priv 3. Much like the original T Priv, the T Priv 3 still has the firing key on the side, OLED screen on the top and the wattage up and down button on the back.

It still has a USB port on the side to charge the device and for a future firmware upgrade and on the bottom, sits the battery door that houses three 18650 batteries. The selling point of the original T Priv is its futuristic looking, hollow out design with cutouts for led lights and the T Priv 3 adopted it.

The T Priv 3’s led lights are still customizable and can be changed to 9 different color modes which are red, green, blue, yellow, magenta, cyan, white, rainbow and RGB.

The mod and atomizer also come in 6 different color options which are black, prism chrome, prism gold, prism blue, prism gun metal, and prism rainbow. Whatever mood you are in or what theme you want to rock, the T Priv 3 can match it.

The TFV12 Prince Tank atomizer is no different when it comes to building quality as it is made from pure stainless steel and an innovative leak free and top fill design. The kit includes two coil heads, a pre-installed 0.4 coil head and an extra 0.12 coil head.

Vapor Quality

The Smok T Priv 3 kit comes with 2 coil heads. The v12 prince-q4 which is a 0.4 ohm coil head and the v12 prince-t10 which is a 0.12 coil head. The 0.4 coil head is rated to use between 60 to 80 watts which is perfect for vapers who want to get the most flavor out of their e-liquid and the 0.12 coil head is rated at 80 to 110 watts, which is perfect for cloud chasers.

Since the T Priv 3 can output up to 300 watts of power, either coil is perfect to use. The TFV12 Prince tank has a dual adjustable airflow, meaning, you can set it as restrictive as you want it to be for a nice and tight mouth to lung drag, or as open as you want to chuck in more air.

The T Priv 3 can output 6 watts to 300 watts in power mode with a resistance of 0.1 ohms to 2.5 ohms. In temperature mode, it has a range of 200 degrees Fahrenheit to 600 degrees Fahrenheit or 100 degrees Celsius to 315 degrees Celcius. Voltage range is from 0.5 volts to 9.5 volts. All this information mean you can use any kind of build or coil head you want.

Whether you want a cold and smooth vape on a lower wattage or a warm and dense vape at higher wattages, everything is possible depending on your liking. Do you want more flavor and consistency to your vape? No problem, as it has a temperature mode as well.

There can be no denying that the T Priv 3 is made for cloud chasers wanting to get the most power they can get on a device. Although I’m not really sure if there is anyone vaping at 300 watts but Smok wants vapers to be able to use the lowest resistance coils available on the market on the highest possible vaping wattage.

If you are not a cloud chaser though, don’t think this mod isn’t for you. Since the T Priv 3 utilizes three 18650 batteries, at a lower wattage, you will be able to enjoy longer vape time. This will beat any two battery mods anytime when it comes to battery life.

The Smok T Priv 3 kit is honestly not a pocket-friendly device. The mod alone has a width of 57.23 mm, a height of 86 mm, and weighs 258 grams without batteries. Add to that the TFV12 Prince which has a height of 57 mm.

This kit can still fit your pocket sure, but trust me, you won’t want to.

The Smok T Priv 3 Kit is definitely an upgrade from the original T Priv. The 300-watt power output and longer battery life make it more appealing than ever. Even though it is bulkier than its predecessor, it is more ergonomic due to its elliptical design and it still retains the futuristic look with its hollow out design and flashy led lights. The inclusion of the TFV12 Prince in the kit instead of the TFV8 Big Baby is a big plus since it is the better atomizer.

Overall, I would recommend this kit for those who are looking for a powerful, stylish mod with a super capable atomizer.
