The BRNT Hexagon is an awesome device that demands a review. It’s a bong. We’re somewhat used to seeing new vaporizers introduce new features. For the last several years, that industry has been blowing up, and competition naturally leads to innovation.

Herb vaporizers have progressed so much over just the last few years, but it’s not as often that we see innovative leaps in the water pipe department. That’s what the Hexagon by BRNT is. It’s an innovative leap for water pipes. Let’s talk about why.

Product Pros

  1. Sturdy
  2. Low maintenance
  3. Classy look

Product Cons

  1. No percs
  2. Can’t see hit

BRNT Hexagon Review: Breakdown

Build Quality

Build Quality

The first thing we should talk about is the build quality because that’s really what makes the Hexagon special. First of all, it’s sturdy. It isn’t indestructible, but unlike a traditional glass water pipe, the Hexagon feels like it could take a drop. This is due to the Hexagon’s proprietary ceramic blend. That’s right, this bong is ceramic!

It isn’t the only ceramic bong on the market, but it’s the only high-quality, name-brand ceramic bong that we’re aware of. The rest of the ceramic bongs out there seem to be novelty, knick-knack pieces. Ceramic bongs previously existed, but no one really took the concept seriously.

That’s really odd because, when you think about it, it’s the most ideal material for a bong. Ceramic materials have the same flavor-preserving qualities as glass, and they’re more resistant to stains. It’s just weird that it took this long for someone to make a nice ceramic bong like this. Hopefully, we’ll see more products like this in the future.

Smoke Quality

Smoke Quality

The Hexagon outperforms every other bong in terms of smoke quality, and there are a few reasons for this. First, the ceramic build did a lot for the flavor. That alone wouldn’t allow it to outperform a glass bong.

Both glass and ceramic materials have flavor-preserving qualities, and they’re pretty much equal in that respect. We only mention it because the high-quality materials used here definitely contribute to the fantastic flavor.

The Hexagon’s superb smoke quality is also due, in part, to the bowl. It doesn’t require a screen of any kind because there’s one built into it. It’s made of glass just like the rest of the bowl. The absence of a metal screen improves the Hexagon’s smoke quality.

It might not be a drastic change, but it’s definitely noticeable. It’s worth mentioning that the only materials coming into contact with your herb and your smoke are glass and ceramic. This makes for a very pure, flavourful smoke session.

We’ll say it one more time. The best thing about the Hexagon is its ceramic build. Glass waterpipes carry the risk of cracking when exposed to extremely cool temperatures.

That’s not the case with the BRNT Hexagon. If you freeze it for 10-15 minutes, it’ll drastically improve your smoke session by cooling the smoke as it passes through the frozen, ceramic airpath.

Look and Feel

I said that the utilization of ceramic material was the best thing about this piece, but its stylish design is so classy and modern that the aesthetic might take the cake here. If you take the stem and bowl out, it’s basically a fancy vase.

You can put it down anywhere, and it’ll just blend seamlessly like a piece of art. It looks so nice that it would be easy for someone to assume that it was purchased as an upscale decoration. In summary, it looks and feels fantastic.

Ease of Maintenance

Ease of Maintenance

There’s one more great thing about the Hexagon’s use of ceramic materials. It makes it dishwasher safe! Right off the bat, that makes it way easier to clean than most water pipes.

I don’t suggest putting the bowl or down stem in the dishwasher. Give them a quick rinse, unless you prefer to be thorough. To deep clean them, drop them into a cup filled with isopropyl alcohol and let them soak.

The Hexagon just kills it in every category. This is one of the best waterpipes on the market. As was previously stated, it’s extremely surprising that no one’s made a bong like this until now. Earlier, I said that the Hexagon was an innovative leap forward for water pipes, and I stand by that.

Ceramic materials are by no means new, but they certainly weren’t being utilized to their full potential. BRNT had a great idea with the Hexagon, and they pulled it off well enough to garner a lot of attention. They knocked it out of the park, and that success will undoubtedly move the industry forward.

God willing, the Hexagon’s moment in the spotlight will give these big-name glass brands a few ideas. We’d love to see high-quality, ceramic water pipes become far more common.
