The CCELL Silo is one of the many ultra-portable batteries designed for use with 510 threaded oil cartridges. The one thing that makes the CCELL Silo stand out from the rest of the battery pack is the inclusion of auto-puff activation. The Silo is one of the best batteries to use with these CCELL cartridges, so without further ado, let’s talk about the Silo and everything that makes it so great.

Product Pros

  • Small and sleek design
  • Air Activated
  • Slot to see liquid level
  • Magnetic

Product Cons

  • No voltage control
  • Small battery capacity

The first thing that you’ll notice about the Silo is how nice it looks. It appears to have a sandblasted finish, and the shell is made from an aluminum alloy just like the CCELL Palm.

Aluminum was a great way to go for this particular vaporizer. It isn’t quite as durable as stainless steel, but its still very durable and about a third of the weight. It’s durable, lightweight quality makes aluminum ideal for portability-oriented vaporizers like the Silo.

Although it looks great, there isn’t a lot to its design. The unit features an LED that lights up when it’s being used and a micro-USB port for charging.

That’s about all there is to it. It’s a very minimalist design, and that’s absolutely fine! This unit is going for convenience and ease of use, so the simpler the better.

This is one of the areas where the CCELL Silo really shines. It’s a draw-activated vaporizer, so using it is truly as simple as picking it up and taking a draw.

It’s compatible with most pre-filled, bottom airflow tanks. This is made possible by the included magnetic 510 adapters.

Again, the Silo utilizes a micro-USB port and charging cable. While a lot of electronic devices on the market have moved on to USB-C, the lack of USB-C won’t really result in any noticeable drawbacks, especially when it comes to tiny batteries like this one.

In fact, I’d say that the inclusion of micro-USB actually adds to the unit’s convenience factor. In this case, it’ll work about as well as USB-C, but micro-USB cables are typically a lot less expensive.

Plus, most people have a box of decade-old micro-USB cables somewhere in their home, so you’ll have something to fall back on when the included cable bites the dust. Eventually, everything will be using USB-C, but as of now, it isn’t much of an issue.

Sadly, the manufacturer hasn’t included any information regarding the unit’s voltage, but we do know that it features a 500 mAh battery that offers up to 180 draws per charge.

It isn’t the best power to size ratio that we’ve seen, but it’s still a very respectable performance that’ll satisfy most vapers.

This ultra-portable vape is extremely compact, but it isn’t the smallest ultra-portable unit that we’ve seen. However, it does come pretty close. It’s only two and a half inches tall, and 0.7 inches wide. In terms of length, it’s sitting at 1.13 inches.

You’ll barely notice this little vape in your pocket, and the battery is good enough to last an entire day for most vapers.

With a full charge, you can throw the CCELL Silo into your pocket and start your day with confidence, not worrying about whether or not it’ll last.

Overall, this is a great ultra-portable vaporizer. It has a very premium vibe thanks, in part, to the high-quality materials and beautiful finish.

Further adding to that premium quality are the two included magnetic adapters. Magnetic accessories are always a plus in my book, and these adapters go beyond aesthetic appeal by adding extra functionality. They make the Silo compatible with virtually any bottom-airflow tank.

The wide range of compatibility makes this little guy extremely convenient. Plus, it’s draw-activated, so using it feels natural and effortless. Its compact size makes it even more convenient to use, and it makes it an ideal vaporizer for on-the-go use.

For around $25, the CCELL Silo is a great unit with a lot of value. I can easily recommend it to anyone in the market for a powerful, compact oil vaporizer.

For me, the CCELL Palm is neck and neck with the Yocan Hive 2.0 for the title of “best ultra-portable vaporizer.” Try it for yourself and see what the hype is about.
