Build Quality

Build Quality

In terms of build quality, the Miqro holds up to DaVinci standards. This durable vape is made from anodized aluminum, however, you still have to mindful of dropping this unit because the hinges are a bit weak.

In terms of heating time, we were happy to see that DaVinci did not cut any corners. This little device can heat up to 370 degrees Fahrenheit in just 39 seconds! Not only that, but the 18350 replaceable and rechargeable battery charges in as little as 1.5 hours.

That being said, the battery life is disappointing. You can get about 5 sessions lasting 5 minutes out of each charge. However, since it is removable, you can keep an extra battery on hand. Also the 18350 is not as common as it’s 18650 brother, so tracking down spare batteries is a bit more difficult.

And just like the DaVinci IQ, the Miqro has a tendency to get warm during use and back to back session make the device almost unbearable to hold.

Vapor Quality

This MIQRO features smart path technology. That means the vapor path itself adjusts the temperature as you draw. The air path is made of zirconium ceramic, so the flavor stays pure.

The extended mouthpiece allows the user to use the device with a waterpipe for cooler draws. An adjustable oven size is carried over from the DaVinci IQ, making it easy to adjust for your amount of material. You can use as much as .25g or as little as .15g with the pearl. We like to call it micro dosing made easy!

In terms of actual cloud quality, vapor is a bit underwhelming even on the highest temperature. We found that vapor is thin and whispy, though it was full of flavor. This is not a unit for passing around in a session is more geared towards small solo sessions.

Look and Feel

The biggest difference in looks between the IQ and the DaVinci Miqro (besides the size) is the number of lights on the front. Instead of the older brother’s 51, the predecessor has only 15. To be honest, the shrunken display is a bit clunky, only display a single digit of your set temperature every second or so. So as opposed to reading your temperature like 220 on one screen, it appears at 2 — 2 — 1. This can make changing temperatures on the fly pretty difficult, especially if you are not in the best lighting.

If you want a vaporizer that works with your sense of style, this DaVinci Miqro may be right for you. You can purchase the Miqro in 5 different colors: onyx, graphite, cobalt, rust, and amethyst.

In terms of discreetness, the dimensions of this vape speak for themselves. The Miqro is 3.13 inches high, 1.34 inches wide, and .91 inches deep. At 33% smaller than its predecessor, this is the easiest DaVinci product to hide.

The DaVinci Miqro can fit inside a small front pocket, women’s pockets, and t-shirt pockets. It fits inside any palm, virtually guaranteeing no one will know what you are packing.

Ease of Use

The DaVinci Miqro is pretty easy to use. However, there are 3 different modes that might take some getting used to: smart path mode, boost mode, and precision heating. Once you get the hang of it, you will enjoy the customizations.

The oven is in the bottom, so flip the unit over and open the hatch. If you want to adjust the amount of botanical, move the pearl on the lid to your desired location. Then you can fill the chamber.

To turn on the Miqro, press the power button 5 times. Then, press the button one more time to toggle between smart path and precision mode. Once you have made your choice, press the up and down buttons to pick the temperature or the smart path.

It’s safe to say that the DaVinci Miqro has a bit of a learning curve when it comes to controls, it feels like they tried to jam too many features into one small device.

The Miqro is extremely portable. This vaporizer excels at being carried, and not only because of its small size. However what hinders the DaVinci Miqro’s portability is the battery life, which tops out at about 30 minutes of use.

Sure you can carry an extra battery and the stash can, but not you are carrying much more than the tiny Miqro and at that point why not look for a vaporizer that is just as portable but has a stronger battery life like the Zeus Arc, which offers 90 minutes of battery life on a charge.

We are not sure exactly how to feel about the DaVinci Miqro. While it does a decent job at solo sessions, overall vapor is a bit underwhelming, especially for seasoned users and the size of the bowl is a bit limited. If you are only interested in micro-dosing and will only be using the Miqro by yourself it may be a decent unit for you.

However, some users may be left wanting more and might be better-served stepping right up and getting a DaVinci IQ or perhaps checking out other comparable portable vapes like the Zeus Arc which features an all gold vapor path.
