  1. Good quality materials used in construction
  2. Ease to use

Product Cons

  2. Not the best vapor production

EVOD Review: Breakdown

Build Quality

Build Quality

The build quality of this e-cig is fantastic. The outer coating seems quite durable, and high quality feel on the outside. The button to engage the heating element is flush with the rest of the unit, nice and small and looks very elegant against the battery. The logo is imprinted on the bottom of the battery and on the base of the battery and manages to brand the unit without making it look tacky and overdone.

Vapor Quality

This unit is basically a graduation from the disposable units. It does a great job of providing an upgrade on the vapor quality form disposables, but it in no way approaches the vapor production of the mods available ont he market. It produces a nice, tasty vapor quite reliably and makes it easy to continue to vape without investing a lot of time and money into learning about and purchasing the needed materials for mech mods.

Disassembled KangerTech EVOD

Unfortunately, there is not much versatility to this e-cig. It’s good at doing what it does, but it is a lot like a pen vaporizer in that it really only does one thing. It does, however, use a standard 510 threading to attach the battery to the tank, and that means you could attach just about any tank to the EVOD to give you more capacity, a different look, or even the ability to change the material your vaporizing. None of this comes with the unit, but the possibilities are still present.

This e-cig is very portable. The battery life which will likely last you around 400 puffs, is more than enough to get through about a day depending on how heavily you vape. The tank might not be that big, but refilling it is easy and won’t take you more than a minute before you’re back to vaping again. The unit is small and light so it won’t be too much of a bother in your pocket and will probably be able to stand up to things like keys in your pocket because of the coating.

The long and the short of this e-cig is that it is a well made and well thought out vape that would be plenty suitable for anybody looking to upgrade from disposables to something with a bit more kick and a lot more quality.  It might not be up to the standards of the mech mod users out there, but everyone has a to start somewhere and KangerTech has made a great place to start with this unit.
