Today we are very excited to review the Grizzly Eclipse Vaporizer. The Eclipse is a true 3-in-1 device that can be used with e-liquid, wax, and herb. Although many manufacturers have tried to make an all-in-one, few vaporizers heat all 3 materials well. So let’s dive right in and see if this one falls short or meets expectations.

If you’re looking to explore all your vaporizer options available, we have the Vapesterdam Ultimate Vaporizer Buyers Guide here to help illuminate all the vaporizer choices available to you.

Product Pros

  1. 20-second dry herb heat-up (less for wax)
  2. Standard 510 threading
  3. Exchangeable 18650 battery
  4. Variable wattage and voltage temperature control
  5. 1ml of eLiquid at a time
  6. Instructions included
  7. Dual o-rings

Product Cons

  1. Only reaches 385°F to heat dry herb
  2. Unimpressive battery time when using herb chamber (7-9 puffs)

Build Quality

In total, there are three separate tanks to use on the Grizzly Eclipse unit. The dry herb chamber is made of ceramic, the concentrate coil is dual quartz inside of a ceramic chamber, and a typical eLiquid MOD. The base is a high-quality, durable gunmetal finish. On top of that is a magnetic texturized rubber that allows for an easy, ergonomic grip.

The big downside to all of these tanks is that its a lot to carry at once, which we will touch upon in the portability section.

Vapor Quality

Thankfully, this 3-in-1 unit includes full temperature control. In fact, you can choose between automatic and manual, Fahrenheit and Celsius. The biggest disappointment of the Grizzly Eclipse is the heat limit for herb. The unit only goes up to 385°F, which is significantly lower than the usual 425°F maximum.

Although this allows the user to get delicious flavor, you won’t get the larger clouds you want. Also, your herbs may not get completely changed to vapor at this temperature.

Similarly, the 0.5-ohm eJuice chamber fails to deliver what a strictly eLiquid unit would create. On the other hand, you can produce some large, flavorful clouds out of the wax tank.

Each tank includes adjustable airflow that lets you customize your sessions even more by adding resistance to your draws. The 510 threading allows the user to connect different tanks and atomizers. This gives you even more control over your vapor experience.

Finally, the mouthpiece is made of borosilicate glass. However, the short path from the base to the lips doesn’t do enough to completely cool the vapor.

Look and Feel

The ergonomic feel paired with the easy to hold rubber unit makes the Eclipse a joy to use! Furthermore, this Grizzly all-in-one vaporizer feels weighty in the hands.

All of the individual tanks fit perfectly, and each feels like they were made with high-quality materials.

In terms of discreetness, the Grizzly Eclipse has its pros and cons. It is a slightly weird shape, so it might stand out in tight pockets. However, this vaporizer fits well in a bag. The base alone would not really alert anyone you have any type of vaporizer.

It could be any electronic product! In fact, the Eclipse base is reminiscent of electronic toothbrush bases. And don’t forget quickly switching to the e-Juice chamber can quickly cover the scent.

Ease of Use

Although there are quite a few options, the Grizzly Eclipse Vape is pretty easy to use. The typical 5 clicks turn it on, and instructions are included for everything else. One really cool feature of this Grizzly vaporizer is its ability to detect which tank you are using.

It will even adjust the temperature accordingly, so you don’t have to remember which tank uses watts or volts. This solves a lot of confusion typically surrounding the use of 3-in-1 units. However, you can always manually control the temperature for a personalized experience.

If you only want to use 1 tank per outing, you won’t be disappointed with the portability. However, the more chambers you bring along the less transportable the Grizzly Eclipse becomes. The only exceptions are when carrying a backpack or purse.

At the end of the day the Grizzly Eclipse is yet another 3 in 1 vaporizer that fails to provide a better experience than a dedicated unit in any of the 3 types of materials. We’d suggest checking out the Utillian 420, the Thunder 2, and Joyetech EGO AIO if I were looking into getting 3 devices for a similar price point.  And if you are really set on getting a multi-material device than we suggest checking out the V2 Pro Series 7.

On the whole, we recommend the Grizzly Eclipse for vapers that prize variety over quality. The product does not do any one of the 3 things better than a dedicated vaporizer would.
