Haze Dual V3 Vaporizer - Do good things come in 3's?

Today we’re fortunate enough to be reviewing the latest version of Haze Technologies’ vaporizer, the Haze Dual V3. The most interesting thing about it is definitely the dual heating chambers; having two chambers allows multiple sessions to be preloaded into the unit, and when you combine this with how each chamber can handle dry herbs or concentrates, you’ve got a winning combination.

Compared to other vapes on the market, the Haze seems to get upgraded pretty frequently, but this seems to be out of a commitment to quality rather than an attempt to sell more units. Each update offers legitimate upgrades that actually improve functionality.

Product Pros

  • Dual heating chambers
  • Stainless steel OR glass mouthpiece (new feature: lip for easy removal)
  • Removable, replaceable, rechargeable batteries
  • Great vapor from both herbs and concentrates
  • Outstanding 10-year warranty

Product Cons

  • Limited temperature options
  • A bit on the large side

Haze Dual V3 Review: Breakdown

Build Quality

Build Quality

The Haze Dual V3 is a very well-made unit. The heating chambers are made of stainless steel, and the vapor pathway can be completed with either a stainless steel or glass mouthpiece. The exterior of the unit is plastic, but it is well machined and all of the moving pieces are securely attached to the base. As a sign of their commitment to delivering a quality product, the Haze comes with a 10-year warranty that covers everything but the batteries and mouthpieces. 10 years is a very long time in the world of vaporizers and standing by a unit for that long shows they really believe in the work they do.

Vapor Quality

The Haze’s vapor quality is also very good. You can expect smooth and flavorful vapor from the beginning of a session to the end. The device incorporates a patented heat exchange system to cool the vapor, and this is noticeable in the end result. We had no issues with hot vapor, even at high temperatures. You also have the option of using different screens and canisters for holding your herbs. One screen is designed to ensure convection heating, while the other creates conduction heating by allowing your dried herb to come into contact with the sides of the chamber. Some people even report that the steel mouthpiece provides cooler vapor, though we found the difference between the two to be negligible.

Look and Feel

It’s hard to pinpoint exactly why, but this unit looks and feels well made from the first time you lay your hands on it. A lot of the better vapes on the market only come in one or two color options, but this one has multiple to choose from. There’s also the fact that the Haze looks a lot like a flask similar to the shape of the Utillian 651, which can be handy for stealthy sessions where alcohol may be more tolerated than vaping.

There are some important features that really contribute to the discreetness of the Haze. The dual heating chambers are the most exciting, as they securely close so that both can be preloaded with no worries of spilling. This means you can prepare ahead of time and avoid any loading or unloading while out and about. As far as we know, there are no other units that offer two chambers like this. The mouthpiece doesn’t have to be fully extended, which helps to keep the overall look more like a flask than a vaporizer which may also be beneficial. The size is still a bit on the big side, so if you want to stay really discreet you may want to look for something smaller.

Ease of Use

This is a pretty easy vape to use. There is a bit of a learning curve as you get used to the dual-bowl setup, but after a few sessions it becomes second nature. Selecting a chamber is based on what direction you open the mouthpiece, and each side is marked in case you forget which side is which. There are four temperature presets, and these are cycled through using a button on top of the unit. Once one is chosen, the temperature lights will blink until it is fully heated and then they will remain solid. At this point, the Haze is ready to enjoy. The size is the only limiting part about this vape as far as portability goes. It’s not huge, but there are smaller options to be found. On the positive side, the ability to prepack two chambers makes for easy traveling, and the removable batteries mean you can get extra if you expect your vape to need to last longer than average between charging (useful for camping or other events with limited power access).

Compatible with ZEUS Iceborn
This vaporizer is compatible with the ZEUS Iceborn, a revolutionary new vapor cooling system engineered by Canadian vape manufacturer ZEUSArsenal. The Iceborn is designed to produce cooler draws and bigger clouds when connected to your vaporizer. The vapour produced is ultra smooth and crisp and because of ice cooling, instead of water filtration, there is no loss of efficiency. The ZEUS Iceborn adds an additional 2 points to the vapor quality score of this vaporizer and is a highly recommended vaporizer accessory.

There is a lot to like about the Haze Dual V3. The vapor quality is excellent, and the dual heating chambers are an unnecessary but awesome feature. The whole unit is well designed and made, and the fact that Haze Technologies offers a 10-year warranty on everything but the batteries and mouthpieces is pretty fantastic as well.

The slightly larger than ideal size is forgivable, as is the fact that only 4 presets are offered as far as temperature control goes. These only slightly affect the functionality, so overall this is definitely a vaporizer that we are comfortable recommending. If you are looking to pick one up be sure to head over to TVape.com. This isn’t the cheapest vaporizer out there, and if you are willing to spend this kind of money to get a high quality unit, then you should also take the time to check out the Crafty, which is one of the best portables on the market.
