Looking at the Joyetech Espion Solo’s body form and design, it reminds me of their old eVic VTC Mini, which is a very outstanding single battery mod and many vapers loved. Everything looks familiar, from the placement of the power button, the screen, and even the battery door. On the front of the device, you will see the large fire button which has the 10th anniversary limited edition marking, a very classy addition to the look I must say.

Below the fire button is the 1.3 inch OLED screen display which is a touchscreen. The function button which also serves as the lock button is right below the screen display and below it is the micro USB port that features a fast 2A charging and can also be used for firmware upgrade.

On the back of the Espion Solo is the battery door which is held by strong magnets and can house either a 21700 battery or an 18650 battery with the use of a battery sleeve. The Joyetech Espion Solo also comes with various safety features to ensure the vapers’ safety all the time.

It has an onboard reverse polarity protection to protect the device from damage in the event you installed the batteries incorrectly and a dual circuit protection to protect the device from over-charging, over-current and over-discharging. The included tank in the kit is the ProCore Air tank atomizer which is primarily made of stainless steel and features a push to open, top filling design for easy e liquid refilling and a dual adjustable airflow control.

It comes with a 4.5 ml glass tank capacity and you can have an option for a 2 ml as well. The kit comes in 4 different color options. You can get the Joyetech Espion Solo kit in gun metal, black, pink and dazzling rainbow.

The ProCore Air tank atomizer comes with 2 ProCA coil heads. These coil heads have a 0.4 ohm resistance and are rated to use between 40 watts to 80 watts. I honestly approve of Joyetech’s decision to include the ProCA coil heads in the kit instead of their other coil heads since the ProCA coil head gives the most balanced flavor and vapor compared to others.

This means that those who decided to buy the Espion Solo kit will have the best of both worlds in terms of flavor and clouds. The ProCore Air tank also has dual adjustable airflow which will allow you to adjust how much air goes in the coil.

You can set it as open as it can be to get a nice and airy drag, which will also help with vapor production, or as small as it can be to get a tight and restrictive lung hit, which is perfect for the new vapers since it can simulate a cigarette drag. The Espion Solo mod can output up to 80 watts which is a plenty enough power to get the most out of the ProCA coil head.

One nice feature of the Espion Solo is that it can be powered by a 21700 battery or an 18650 battery. The 21700 battery is its native power source but with the use of a battery sleeve, you can use your 18650s to power the mod.

The Espion Solo also features temperature control for advanced vapers who like to use nickel, titanium or stainless steel coils, which is perfect for those who want to get the most flavor consistency out of their e liquids.

The only thing to keep in mind when you decided to get the Espion Solo kit though is that it doesn’t come with a replacement glass tube, which is a bummer. Joyetech made two different versions for the ProCore Air, so you can either get the 4.5 ml variant or the 2 ml variant.

The Espion Solo, being a single battery mod is undeniably a very compact and portable vaping device. It is only 132.5 mm in height, 39.5 mm in width and 25.5 mm thick with the 4.5 ml tank. You will have no problems putting it in your pocket or carrying it outside.

It is a great traveling companion since you don’t need to bring extra batteries with you as it features a 2A quick charging system which charges your batteries faster than normal through its micro USB port.

The Joyetech Espion Solo kit is perfect for those who are looking for a high quality, single battery vaping device which has a lot of features and has a small body design. The slim profile and the touchscreen display is a nice design feature and the ProCore Air powered by the ProCA coil head has an outstanding performance for a tank atomizer in terms of flavor and vapor. For Joyetech fans, the 10th anniversary limited edition Espion Solo is a must have.
