Build Quality

Build Quality

Source has proven their dedication to quality time and time again. Like their other products, this Source kit uses lab grade quality materials made in the USA. Even their buckets are made of USA lab-certified food-grade ceramic and 100% grade 2 titanium.

Unlike many newer rigs on the market, the Sig 2 kit features registered patents. The attachments are all 510 threaded, so you can mix and match!

Vapor Quality

Six different nails are included, and they are made of 3 different materials for vaping preferences: ceramic, titanium, and quartz. Each offers a slightly different taste and vapor quality. There is truly a nail for everyone’s waxy concentrate preferences! All include a removable bucket for easy cleaning, ensuring you will clean and keep your vapor pure.

Whether you are looking for huge clouds or discreet vapor, there is an attachment that will satisfy your needs. One really awesome thing about Source is that all of their products can be used with all of their other products.

This allows for some really creative mixing and matching for vaporizer aficionados. Glass attachments are included for a cooler, higher quality cloud.

Not to mention the possibilities offered by the Sig 2 Kit’s precise temperature control.

An included split glass bubbler allows for better airflow, and works with 18mm water pipes. We found this glass, and all of the glass in the kit, to be high quality.

Look and Feel

This portable wax vaporizing unit has a biggish bottom box and a stainless steel mouthpiece that can be replaced by one made of glass.

However, the bigger surface area is necessary to create the aroma-filled, delicious clouds that Source’s are known for. All of the parts seem well made, and the unit feels durable and strong.

In terms of discreetness, there is both good and bad. The good: the wide range of temperatures allow for tactful sips after a quick heat up time of 7 seconds. Also included is a 15 extended second auto-shutoff so you don’t have to worry about burning a hole in your jeans in a sticky situation.

The bad: this Source is large. Most people will be able to tell you are holding it. Luckily, it looks just like an extremely popular eCig design.

Ease of Use

Since there are so many options in the kit, it will take some practice for newer vapers to get the hang of all of the attachments and what they do. Additionally, the kit does not include instructions and the user must go online to get them. However, once learned, it will be difficult to go back to a concentrate vaporizer that doesn’t offer so many choices.

Cleaning is easy. The coil-less buckets are removable, so you don’t have to worry about getting down and dirty. Just remember to spare the atomizers from water, as it can permanently alter the taste of your vapor.

The Source’s slim XL attachment allows you to take any of the included 13mm atomizers, and some that aren’t included, on the go! An on-the-go case is included so you can store and carry all the necessities.

However, the Source Nail XL Sig 2 cannot easily be stored in smaller pockets. The mouthpiece will stick out, opening it up to damage. Baggy pants can handle the boxiness of this vaporizer, but a belt will be needed to keep your pants up!

Regrettably, the lack of printed instructions makes this somewhat difficult to learn pen less portable. What is the new user to do out in the backwoods?

With a no-hassle lifetime warranty, we have no hesitations recommending the Source Nail XL Sig 2 Kit. That being said, there is a bit of a learning curve when it comes to using Source products, especially a kit with as many vaporizing options as the Sig 2. However, we think this unique vaporizer kit is worth taking the time to get acquainted with.
