Small mods are becoming a trend and it goes the same with the newest addition to Smok’s G Priv lineup, the G Priv Baby. Even though it is smaller, it has the same look and feel, and it features the same touch screen and upgraded UI from the G Priv 2 but in order to make it smaller, Smok made some compromises like lowering its maximum output since it now only uses a single 18650 battery. It also comes with the TFV12 Baby Prince tank atomizer which is one of their best subohm tank atomizers.

Looking at the Smok G Priv Baby, it really looks similar to its bigger brother the G Priv 2. It is not a bad thing that it has the same futuristic design language, angles, and curves because it looks gorgeous.

It has the same fire bar on the side and a dedicated lock or stealth button on above it. The back has this cobra skin pattern design that looks more like a honeycomb to me and on the bottom is a micro USB port for charging and firmware upgrade.

On the front of the device, you will see the same 2 inch touch screen display that features the same upgraded UI from the G Priv 2 and is still highly sensitive which makes it very easy to operate unlike most touch screens on other mods that feel a little clunky to use.

This is one of the best features on the G Priv which Smok is very proud of. The only difference you will see between the G Priv 2 and the G Priv Baby aside from its smaller profile is the battery slot on the top which holds a single 18650 battery.

This is a good change too since you can at least have the option to replace the battery at your own will instead of being stuck on a built-in battery. Now that it is only capable of using a single 18650 battery, the G Priv Baby has a lower maximum output of 85 watts compared to G Priv 2’s 230 watts which is still fine by today’s standards as most vapers rarely ever vape above 80 watts.

The included atomizer in the kit is the TFV12 Baby Prince Tank atomizer and if you are familiar with its performance, it is one of the best tank atomizers Smok has ever made. It is made of stainless steel and comes with their cobra drip tip. The TFV12 Baby Prince has an e liquid capacity of 4.5 ml and a convenient top fill design with Smok’s patented locking mechanism.

The Smok Stick Prince Baby kit comes with two V8 Baby coil heads. Pre-installed is the V8 Baby Q4 that has a resistance of 0.4 ohm and is rated to use between 30 watts to 65 watts. This coil head is perfect for the cloud chasers out there who want to chuck clouds all day due to its quadruple coil build inside.

The other included coil head is the V8 Baby Q2 that also has a resistance of 0.4 ohm but has a dual coil build inside and is rated to use between 40 watts to 80 watts. This coil head is perfect for those who still want those dense and massive clouds but prefer a more flavorful vaping experience. Between the two, the V8 Baby Q2 is the more balanced in terms of flavor and vapor production.

The TFV12 Baby Prince tank also features dual adjustable airflow control to further personalize your vaping experience. You can set the airflow control to the minimum to get a tight and restrictive lung hit which is perfect for the new vapers who are still looking for that cigarette type of drag, and you can set it as open as it can be for an airy drag which can also help produce more vapor.

Versatility

Versatility

Just like its big brothers, the Smok G Priv Baby is fully capable of multiple types of vaping modes like wattage mode and temperature control, and you can also set its TCR and make a personalized power curve.

The TFV12 Baby Prince tank also has a TPD compliant version that has an e liquid capacity of 2 ml if you want a sleeker look.

Portability

Portability

The G Priv Baby is not the smallest single battery mod on the market due to its 2 inch touch screen display but it is still compact and very portable. The mod is only 72 mm in height, 51 mm in width and 29.2 mm in thickness.

Having a replaceable battery setup means you can bring extra 18650 batteries with you wherever you go or just charge it through the micro USB port which is perfect for traveling.

Conclusion

If you are a fan of the G Priv lineup with its fancy design and super responsive touch screen display but wished it could be more compact then I guess Smok listened to your prayers as the G Priv Baby is exactly that. An adequate output and all the good features of the G Priv 2 in a smaller and more compact body, in my opinion, this is by far the best G Priv product Smok has ever made.
