Just like its older brother, the original X Priv, the Smok X Priv Baby retains the design and aesthetics but in a smaller form factor which is very beneficial to its portability and ergonomics but has a few cons too. Smok has to make some compromises to make the X Priv Baby possible, like a built-in battery and lower maximum output but the X Priv Baby’s form factor is sure to appeal to any vaper who likes small and compact devices.

The Smok X Priv Baby still has the same look and appeal of its big brother X Priv. It still has the same shiny, classy and elegant design that people loved about the X Priv. It is still made of premium zinc alloy and has a glass material on the front and back.

Even though the X Priv Baby is way smaller in comparison to the original X Priv, it still has the large 2 inch high definition display which kind of aligns to the latest trend in cellphones these days that have bigger screens and smaller bezels.

On the back of the device is what Smok is calling a cobra pattern design but for me, it looks like a honeycomb pattern, but whatever it is, it still looks good and greatly compliments the whole design. The X Priv Baby still has a fire bar but they put it on the right side this time and the up and down buttons are just below the screen.

The micro USB port for charging and firmware upgrade is placed on the bottom which in my opinion is a bad placement because I always want charge my device upright and not set it sideways. It is unfortunate that the big 2 inch high definition screen display is still not a touchscreen since it is fairly big and is considered as one of the best screens on a vaping device.

Since the X Priv Baby is so small and compact compared to the original X Priv, it is very obvious that normal batteries won’t fit and Smok decided to put a 2300 mah non-removable battery inside which is very acceptable since the X Priv Baby only has a maximum output of 80 watts instead of the monstrous 225 watts on the original X Priv.

The tank included in the kit is the TFV12 Big Baby Prince tank and if you are a Smok fan, you know that the TFV12 tanks are some of the best tanks on the market right now.

It has an e liquid capacity of 6 ml and comes with Smok’s cobra 810 drip tip to match the overall design of the mod. The kit comes in 7 different color options and you get it in black, gold, blue, chrome, gun metal, pink and rainbow.

Vapor Quality

The TFV12 Big Baby Prince tank atomizer comes with two V8 Baby Q2 coil heads. Both coils have a resistance of 0.4 ohm and are rated to use between 40 watts to 80 watts. The V8 Baby Q2 has a dual coil build inside and it is perfect for the vapers who want a deeper and richer flavor while still having a dense vapor production.

There is nothing too special about these coil heads but they give the most balanced flavor and vapor production compared to other coil heads in the market. The TFV12 Big Baby Prince tank has dual adjustable airflow control to further personalize your vaping experience.

You can set the airflow control to the minimum to get a tight and restrictive lung hit which is perfect for the new vapers who are still looking for that cigarette type of drag, and you can set it as open as it can be for an airy drag which can also help produce more vapor.

Versatility

The 80 watts maximum output of the X Priv Baby is more than enough to utilize these coil heads and it also has a bunch of advanced features such as temperature control, TCR and custom power curves for an optimal vaping experience.

If you don’t want a large 6 ml e-liquid capacity, the TFV12 Big Baby Prince tank has a TPD compliant version that has an e-liquid capacity of 2 ml.

Portability

Portability

The X Priv Baby is one of the most compact mods on the market right now. With the TFV12 Big Baby Prince tank on, it is only 123 mm in height, 47 mm in width and 29 mm in thickness.

This is a perfect vaping kit for those who like to go out or travel a lot as you will never have a problem carrying this mod around.
