Welcome to our review of the SOURCE Orb 4 Signature Kit by SOURCEvapes!

Before we get started, I want to point out that there is a big difference between the kits that come with the SOURCE Orb 4 name. You may assume that you’re just getting different types and amounts of atomizers, but the batteries and bases are also completely different.

The Signature Kit comes with a 2200mAh box mod that offers temperature control and variable wattage. The Premium Kit has a 650mAh pen-style battery that only offers variable voltage. When I said completely different, I really meant it!

If you are in the market for a concentrate vape, you’ll definitely want to read through this review and see if the Signature Kit is what you’ve been hunting for…

Product Pros

  • Temperature control

Source Orb 4 Signature Kit Review: Breakdown

Build Quality

Build Quality

Talk about versatility. The SOURCE Orb 4 Signature Kit pretty much blows every other concentrate device out of the water when it comes to this. You get 8 different atomizer styles, along with a box mod that was designed specifically for concentrate vaping.

The battery is made well and offers a 2200mAh capacity. This should last you through a day or two of moderate vaping. You are also getting full control over wattage and temperature with this. The wattage range is 5w to 40w, while the temperature range is 200°F to 700°F.

The Orb itself features some nice improvements over the original Series 3 Orb. The two pieces connect using a magnet, and there is a built-in airflow system with 5 different settings. Some people report problems with the magnets, but our experience suggests they work well and hold things in place with no problems.

The atomizers are also well made. Some have the classic double coil design, while others are coiless. Materials include titanium, quartz, and ceramic. There are three atomizers that were newly designed for the Source Orb 4, and all of them are included with this kit.

Vapor Quality

The versatility helps make sure that vapor quality is also very high. The power and temperature settings allow you to adjust your experience to prioritize flavor, vapor strength, or a mix of the two. The same is true of all the atomizer options. On top of all this, you can use the airflow adjustments to change draw resistance.

While you are able to get extremely powerful hits from this, remember that you won’t be getting huge clouds like you can from an e-cig. This normally goes without saying, but the box mod style may confuse some people. The juice used with traditional e-cigs is specially formulated to deliver clouds, while this works with concentrated plant material.

Look and Feel

The SOURCE Orb line is typically a sleek, pen-style design, but the signature kit has the box mod powering the Orb. It doesn’t look quite as nice as the thin, round batteries do, but you’re gaining a ton of functionality by making the switch.

With that being said, the battery still isn’t all that big or cumbersome. Compared to most box mods, it’s actually very small. It fits in the hand nice, and you may even find that you like having a bit more to hold on to.

This is too tall to easily conceal with your hand, but the base may lead others to believe that it’s nothing more than an e-cig. If you want to attract as little attention as possible, bring the temperature or wattage down as low as you can so that the vapor is thinner and less noticeable when you exhale.

Ease of Use

The extra functionality makes the Signature Kit a bit more complicated to use than the Premium kit. You’ll have to get used to navigating the menu and setting the temperature or wattage, but this is worth your time for the added experience. Changing the atomizers and adding your wax or concentrate is still very easy, especially with the magnetic connection.

This seems like a very durable device, so in that way it should also be pretty portable. When you consider that you also get a carrying case with the kit, you should have no trouble taking this wherever you need to. With a 2200mAh capacity, the battery should also be big enough to last for at least a day’s worth of vaping. If you are an infrequent user and keep your power settings low, you may find that it will last for several.

The SOURCE Orb 4 Signature Kit should be on the list for anyone who enjoys concentrates and wants as much versatility as possible. You get a huge range of atomizer options, and I’m a big fan of the temperature control and wattage variability. This isn’t something you find in many concentrate vapes, and it really helps you get vapor that you love.

If you aren’t a fan of the box mod base, you can check out the SOURCE Orb 4 Premium Kit. It will work with all the same atomizers as this (though they aren’t all included), but it features a pen-style design with a slim, cylindrical battery.

At the end of the day, this is a good way to spend your money if you have it to spend. If you are looking for a cheaper way to get into concentrate vaping, check out the ZEUS Thunder 2. It’s a wax pen that offers great flavor for a lot less money!
