We have been so used to the pod style devices that looks like a USB flash drive or something similar. Most vape company that released their own pod system came out looking like a Juul device so when the Suorin Drop was released, everyone got interested in its very unique design. Unlike most pod devices on the market, the Suorin Drop took advantage of its design to gain popularity and as a bonus, it even performs well as a pod style vaporizer to the delight of the early users.

The Suorin Drop’s design is inspired by a water drop, hence the name “Drop”. What’s cool about the design is that it is flat which makes it look like a squashed water drop. Although some will say that it looks like the Smok Rolo Badge, yes it is similar but far from it at the same time.

The Suorin Drop has this clean and seamless design with the rounded body and the pointy pod tip which makes total sense from a vaporizer design standpoint. When I first saw the Suorin Drop, I thought that it would be lightweight and it would feel cheap but the main body of the Suorin Drop is made out of zinc alloy which adds a little heft to it while the pod is made of plastic.

The overall build quality of the device is superb and add to that its various color and finishes make it a really premium looking device. There are 10 color options available for the Suorin Drop and there are 2 finishes. There are some colors that have a reflective finish like the black, gun metal, gold, and rainbow which are fingerprint magnets and my personal favorites are the red, blue and yellow which have a matte finish which is kind of like a rubber type of material.

Some of the biggest pros of the Suorin Drop over most pod systems are its bigger battery capacity, refillable pod, and the micro USB port. The Suorin Drop has a built-in 310 mah battery which can be charged by its included USB cable or any other USB cable that you have laying around.

It is also an open pod system which means its disposable pod is refillable and can hold up to 2ml of e liquid. There is only 1 pod included in the kit unfortunately but from my testing, the pod can last a long time as I was able to use it in 7 to 8 refills before the coil and cotton went bad.

Using the device is as easy as most pod systems on the market. It has no power or fire button as it features an automatic draw activated system which means all you need to do is to take a puff and it will automatically produce vapors.

The pod is held by 2 strong magnetic contacts and once it made contact to the body, the device will automatically turn on. There are 2 LED indicator lights on the 2 sides of the connection that will shine through the translucent pod which will conveniently tell you the device status and when it is time to charge it.

The Suorin Drop uses a micro coil build that has a resistance between 1.3 to 1.4 ohms. It is a solid device for mouth to lung vaping style but it can also be used for direct lung style using a little trick. When you vape on it while the device is in an upright position, you can get a tight and restrictive drag and when it is perpendicular to your mouth, you can get a much open airflow for a smooth direct lung hit.

It has something to do with the way they designed its airflow so it is a nifty little trick you can use if you want to change how it vapes. It gives a clean flavor and it also produces a good amount of vapor compared to most pod systems and while most will recommend using salt based e liquids on this type of device, even a 12mg or lower normal e liquids can do wonders when it comes to throat hit.

Just like most pod systems, the Suorin Drop doesn’t offer anything aside from its fixed power output. Pod systems are made for the newbies who are looking for a simple device to help them quit smoking and the Suorin Drop is exactly what they need.

The good thing about the Suorin Drop though is that it is an open pod system, which means users can use any kind of e liquid they want and they won’t be limited to what the company is offering.

The Suorin Drop might be wider than most pod systems due to its unique design but it is flat and super thin. It is only 73mm in height, 49mm in length and 12mm in width which makes it a very portable and pocket-friendly device.

The Suorin Drop is an excellent beginner device for those who are looking to switch to vaping. Not only does it performs well when it comes to flavor and vapor production, but it also has a refillable pod which most pod systems do not have. But, at the end of the day we still feel like the Bo One is the superior pod device.
