Vaporesso has always been one of the best vape companies when it comes to technology. Their proprietary chip, the Omni board, is way ahead in terms of features and performance and is comparable with the most famous DNA board. This time, the Vaporesso Luxe, could actually score top marks for design and aesthetics. Not only that, the tank included in the kit, the Vaporesso SKRR which has a very weird name, features an all-new quadflow air distribution system that boasts an optimized airflow, no spitbacks and leak free.

The Vaporesso Luxe unexpectedly doesn’t share the same design language of some of Vaporesso’s old products like the Tarot and Revenger. It has a more streamlined designed without the unnecessary edges compared to the boxy look of Vaporesso’s former devices.

The front and back panels are curved to the sides and look very seamless. This new design improves the device’s ergonomics which greatly helps since it is a pretty hefty device. The Luxe is entirely made of zinc alloy which makes it feel very premium but adds a lot of weight to it.

The Luxe kind of looks like a thick smartphone with its glass looking panels on the front and back. On the front is a 2-inch color screen display that has a touch panel on the bottom part which is cool since it makes the overall design look cleaner as it removes the adjustment buttons which normally sticks out.

The only button you will see on the Luxe is the fire button which is located on the side of the device. Also on the front is a micro USB port that features a 2.5A ultra-fast charging technology, which is the fastest charging technology to date for vaping devices.

The Vaporesso Luxe is powered by two 18650 batteries and has a maximum power output of 220 watts. It also features the insta-fire technology that has the most rapid and stable firing rate of just only 0.001s, which makes it one of the devices that has the fastest and most responsive fire rate compared to most vape mods on the market.

All of these features are possible due to Vaporesso’s Omni board 4.0. The tank included in the kit is called the SKRR. It is primarily made of stainless steel that has an e liquid capacity of 8 ml and features dual adjustable airflow and a top fill system with a child lock system.

The Vaporesso SKRR kit utilizes a new set of coil heads which are called the QF Strip and the QF Meshed. The QF Strip has a resistance of 0.15 ohm and is rated to use between 50 to 80 watts while the QF Meshed has a resistance of 0.2 ohm and is rated to use between 55 to 85 watts.

These coil heads have a new technology called the quad flow air distribution system which basically utilizes a pole in the middle to deliver airflow. This optimizes the airflow which eliminates cold air intake and gives a richer and warmer flavor.

The increased airflow also creates a bigger and denser cloud while maintaining smooth overall drag. The QF air distribution system also removes any chance of spit back and the best of all, it makes the coil head leak free. These coil heads have another special feature, they not only use organic cotton for the wicking material, but they also have flax fiber in it.

The addition of flax fiber in the build is a very good thing. It is known as the strongest natural fiber which can help increase the longevity of the coil and its high liquid absorption property allows increased flavor production.

Most Vaporesso devices are known to be packed full of features and the Luxe isn’t any different. Aside from its special features from the Omni Board 4.0, it also has the usual stuff such as temperature mode, bypass, and TCR.

Most vapers stick to wattage mode since most mods on the market has a subpar temperature control feature but the temperature mode on the Omni Board 4.0 works flawlessly which is a delightful feature if you are a TC fan.

The available 220 watts of power that the Luxe can output is more than capable of firing most builds out there and the fact that it is a dual 18650 configuration device, you won’t have to worry about poor battery life.

The Vaporesso Luxe is average in size for a dual battery mod but due to the material used for its premium build, it is a heavy device even without batteries in it. With the SKRR tank installed, it is 146mm in height, 47.8mm in length and 30mm in width.

It can be uncomfortable to bring when it is inside your pocket but you won’t have any problems if you store it in a bag. The 2.5A quick charging micro USB port of the Luxe is a nice addition to its list of features as you don’t have to bring an extra set of batteries and a separate battery charger as they can add a lot of weight to your bag when you are traveling.

Vaporesso Luxe Kit power control

The Vaporesso Luxe kit is a premium built mod with a clean and elegant design, that doesn’t lack in power and features. This might be the best-looking mod that Vaporesso has made but what I don’t like about its finish is its tendency to get dirty-looking from the minute you hold it. The Luxe is a heavy fingerprint magnet and if you don’t like the idea of wiping it down every minute or so, then this device might not be for you.

The QF coils that only the SKRR tank can utilize as of now might actually change the game when it comes to coil builds. I will not be surprised if we see the flax fiber being used more often due to its ability to extend the lifespan of the coil heads.

For those just starting out, you may be better served by a unit like the Jücee Slice, which offers, auto-puff as opposed to a button, producing very nice vapor and flavor, while remaining more compact and easier to use than the Smok Nord.  If you are looking for something a good starter mod style vape check out the SMOK Procolor.
