Super compact mods are for casual on-the-go vapers and they usually come with just the basic features. Vaporesso wants to prove that tiny mods can even pack a punch when it comes to style and features with the new Vaporesso Tarot Baby. I know it is kind of confusing since Vaporesso has the Tarot Mini and the Tarot Nano, but the Tarot Baby is smaller than the Tarot Mini and slightly bigger than the Tarot Nano. The Tarot Baby also got some new features and improvements and it comes with the Vaporesso NRG SE tank which makes it a very interesting kit.

Just like the previous Tarots, the Vaporesso Tarot Baby features the same design and aesthetics that people loved. What is new though is that the side display features a very seamless design which incorporates the 0.96 inch color screen display and the somewhat hidden fire button in a tinted hard plastic material, making the Tarot Baby looks very modern.

The triangle shaped adjustment buttons on the bottom of the display are arranged in a very tasteful way which doesn’t break from the design aesthetics even though it is separated from the display and fire button seamless construction.

The Vaporesso Tarot Baby has a maximum power output of 85 watts which is powered by a non-removable 2500 mah battery. The Tarot Baby also has the new Omni Board 4.0 that features an ultra-fast and responsive 0.002s firing speed, and the “super player mode” which enables the vapers to use coils that have super low resistances from 0.03 to 0.05 ohm.

The “super player mode” might sound good since you can vape at higher wattages but since the Tarot Baby only has a built-in 2500 mah battery, battery life will be a big issue if you constantly vape at that setting. The kit comes with the Vaporesso NRG SE tank that features a child-proof top filling system to keep children away from any accidents with the e liquid.

This creates an issue with convenience though, as you always have to remove the drip tip before you can push and slide the top cap with every refill. The NRG SE tank has an e liquid capacity of 4.5ml and has a TPD compliant version that has a capacity of 2ml.

The NRG SE tank comes with 2 coil heads, the GT Meshed and the GT CCELL. The GT Meshed has a resistance of 0.18 while the GT CCELL has a resistance of 0.5 ohm. Both coils might seem similar but they are entirely different from each other.

The GT Meshed coil, like the name implies, uses a special coil that is built into a mesh. This type of coil design is not new but for those who don’t know, mesh coils have better heating due to its wider contact with the cotton. Having a wider heating element always gives a better vaping experience due to the more even distribution of e liquid which turns to a much smoother flavor and vapor production.

The GT Mesh is perfect for those who want dense and thick clouds all day. The GT CCELL, on the other hand, is perfect for the flavor chasers. It features an innovative porous ceramic coil inside that can deliver the purest flavor of your e liquid compared to the normal coil heads which use cotton wicks.

The reason why it can produce a more intense flavor compared to other coil heads since the GT CCELL can handle higher temperatures and won’t easily burn the e liquid which other normal coil head does.

The Vaporesso Tarot Baby not only features variable wattage mode of up to 85 watts, but it also features temperature control mode that supports the use of the common temperature control coils such as nickel, titanium, and stainless steel. The Tarot Baby also has a bypass mode which uses the battery life as a gauge on how much power you can vape at.

This is best used with the “super player mode” as you can basically vape at higher wattages or voltages when using a super low resistance coil. Keep in mind though that your battery life will suffer while in this mode. It also features a 2A quick charge feature to compensate for the lack of a removable or replaceable battery.

The Vaporesso Tarot Baby with the NRG SE tank installed is only 114mm in height, 42mm in length and 25mm in width. It is a slightly bigger mod compared to the Vaporesso Tarot Nano but it is more compact than the Tarot Mini. It is no doubt one of the smallest mods on the market right now.

The built-in battery might be an issue for some but this is actually a good thing for the on-the-go vapers who don’t like bringing batteries and a charger with them. The 2A quick charge feature of Tarot Baby makes sure that you have a little downtime in your vaping enjoyment.

Vaporesso Tarot Baby side view

The “Tarot” has been Vaporesso’s strong line of products and it is not hard to see why. With the introduction of the Tarot Baby, it opened a new market segment for super compact mods with big features comparable to most advanced mods with dual or triple battery configuration. Not only it is packed full of features, but it also has good aesthetics too, which honestly, most vapers look for before the performance.

Who wants to vape on an ugly mod anyway? I guess its only weak point is having a built-in battery. I guess Vaporesso can’t find a way to even fit a single 18650 in there due to the design. But whether you are a beginner or an advanced vaper looking for a super compact mod, the Vaporesso Tarot Baby is one of the best small mods on the market worth considering.
