Vivant VLeaF Vaporizer Review: Breakdown

Build Quality

Build Quality

Overall, the build quality of the VLeaf seems sturdy. The outer shell of this hearty cigar-shaped vape is made of stainless steel and features a rubber sleeve for a better grip. It feels solid in the hands.

The mouthpiece is made of heat-resistant plastic, and overall works well. However, we found the mouthpiece has the potential to get hot over long sessions.

The Vivant VLeaf boasts a rechargeable 2800 Lithium-ion battery that takes only 2 hours to fully charge, and there are 5 LED lights along the bottom of the unit that show the progress.

Some vapers are used to popping in a new battery when one gets low, and might not like the non-removable battery. Instead, the VLeaf must be charged via USB.

However, this vaporizer features an innovative, high-efficiency heat exchanger that prolongs battery life. Expect to get a total of 50 minutes to an hour of vape time.

Marked on the unit are 5 accurate electronic temperature controls between 370°F – 420°F (370°F, 383°F, 395°F, 408°F, and 420°F). In fact, the 5 LED lights along the bottom that display battery life also show the temperature at which the herb is currently heating. This allows you to have maximum control over the vapor quality.

Vivant includes the newest hybrid heating technology in the VLeaf. Both convection and conduction work together to provide a smooth, even herbal taste. The patent is pending, but we have no qualms about using the helical ceramic heating chamber.

This special kind of air path channel allows for a quicker and smoother vapor path for up to .3 grams of flowers. Furthermore, the taste and quality of clouds stay the same throughout a session without having to mix the botanicals.

Look and Feel

Unlike the Alternate, the VLeaf comes as a pen-shaped design. Well, more of a cigar shape at 4.25″H x 2.0″L x 1.26″W. This makes it less bulky than its predecessor, and more aesthetically pleasing.

However, some people may not like the way the fatter pen feels in their hands. We also appreciate the hidden power button. This adds to the streamlined look and feel. The 5 LED lights at the bottom look nice and aren’t too bright while using or charging.

Although the lack of an LED screen can be a downside to some, we think it adds to the discreetness of the VLeaf. It would be extremely hard to the average eye to tell the difference between the newest Vivant and a pen-shaped eCig.

Furthermore, the extremely quick 30-second heat up allows the user to get a quick hit or two without being noticed. The only downside is how much wider this pen is than some of its competition.

Putting it in a purse is still discreet, but it is noticeable in a tight pants pocket. Furthermore, this shape does not easily hide in the hands.

Ease of Use

To turn on the Vivant VLeaf, simply click the power button 5 times. This discreet button is located on the bottom right side of the pen. Then, choose your favorite vaping temperature by clicking the same button twice.

The LED lights will show the current temperature, and you can toggle through to select. When have chosen a heating level, hold the power button down for a few seconds.

Included with VLeaf kit is a water pipe adaptor. This is a truly unique and thoughtful addition from Vivant. The WPA can be easily used in bubblers, gravity bongs, and almost any other herb processing device using water.

In terms of portability, the Vivant VLeaf could be slightly improved. Although .5 pounds doesn’t seem heavy, users will be singing a different tune when their jacket pocket is sagging from weight.

However, the strong plastic mouthpiece decreases the chance of breakage that might happen with glass.

Overall, we believe the Vleaf is a great low-cost alternative to more expensive vaporizers such as the Arizer Air. The California based Vivant has outdone itself this time, and we are so happy they did! With a top of the line ceramic oven, quick heating, and tasty vapor, the growing company has proven they mean business! If you are looking for a budget vaporizer that includes a digital display and a glass mouthpiece be sure to check out the Utillian 420.

Does your herb need to be drier. I have sticky stuff and not getting a good vape.

Yes, you are going to want to dry out your herb a bit for optimal vaping. You don’t want it to be dust, but you certainly do not want it super moist and sticky.
